Notes:
Besides RATM, this was one of the most talked about and anticipated performances of the festival. MGMT didn't disappoint. With what can only be described as a Radiohead-esque sized crowd, these guys ripped through 10 songs and really got everyone going. Sound quality here is solid, recorded from about 60 feet from the left center of the stage, the heat was not as bad as the first day, but that isn't saying much. Crowd was packed together, and you'll hear some tidbits of asinine banter hear and there. Couple people coming out of the pack bump into me or say "excuse me" close to the mics, but for the most part, a very good set. After four straight years at Coachella, this was my first Lollapalooza and it was a blast. More sets will be forthcoming, as I am reviewing music and putting them up as time permits. Big thanks go out to DJ Froyd, who although was unable to make the festival, spent plenty of time assisting me to strategize my musical moves at the fest. Comments are welcome, turn it up. Enjoy.
