This concert I taped with an AIWA walkman and an extra microphone (I can't remember what microphone it was).
It was recorded from the ground floor about 30 meters from the stage on the right side. The sound quality is very good +, sometimes better.
I know this concert has been seeded here from different tapers before but I thought I like to share my master with you too.
Originally I had a ticket for a seat but I decided to go down on the floor to tape it for getting a better sound quality.
..and of course it started to rain.
Hmmm, U2 in those days were a really young and unprofessional band and they did not trust themselves with their own musical output so far.
Or can anyone explain why they played or filled 10 of their 19 songs here with songs from other artists? Really obscure!!
I remember that I immediately started taping when "Stand by me" was played over the speakers, so here the song is with the whole U2-Stand by me - version.
..and I remember there were no video-screens so only a few people in the first few rows really could see Bono & Co. playing. For the rest it must have been really disappointing to see only a stage far away with probably four guys on it - only 1" high.
This was my last U2 experience in my early days when I really liked them, but from that day on everything changed and they did not interest me anymore.
