With the official Ten Club release of the fantastic December 8, 1993 Seattle concert, it seemed like a great time revisit JEMS master recordings from the other two nights of the memorable three-show run at the Arena, opening night 12/7 and closing night 12/9.

There’s certainly a case to be made for picking 12/8 as the official release. It was the longest show with the most varied set list and a few special inclusions (covers of “I’ve Got a Feeling “ and “Rockin’ in the Free World”). But the other two nights have their charms, and feature a few songs not included on 12/8, notably “Garden,” “Leash” and “Whipping” this night plus the “Don’t Touch Me There” improv.

These are fresh transfers from master DATs recorded by the legendary J in JEMS, the late, great Jared Houser. Eddie Vedder once called him, “Taper No. 1.” Jared was supported these nights by AMorg, a vital figure in the JEMS story (without knowing her, none of JEMS would have met). Sound quality is very nice. Samples provided.

Thanks to Jared for his incredible work including these fine recordings, AMorg for being the connector to some of the most important friendships of our lives and to CS for handling post production and posting.
