Recorded with a handheld cassette recorder I bought at Radio Shack. Not the greatest thing I ever did. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to put loud music in a domed arena was an idiot. This show sounded like crap. I was up about halfway in the stands at about 4 o'clock from the stage, and from where I sat all I heard was a rumble. I had a hard time discerning what song was being played for most of the show because the echo was so bad. The tape actually sounds better than what I heard. Adding to the problem was the band's sound system. On the Popmart tour U2 had a big McDonald's style arch over the stage with a single beehive of speakers in the middle blasting the sound in good old fashioned mono, but about 2/3 of the way back on the floor was another bunch of satellite speakers on poles for the people in the back. All this did in the Skydome was add to the muddiness. Probaly works great outdoors, and as the weather was quite nice for that time of year I don't know why the dome wasn't opened. Would've solved everything.
