Notes: I attended all 3 days of the festival and recorded 10 sets, 7 of which are complete, 3 of which are partial due to overlapping stage schedules. The complete sets are Florence + The Machine, My Morning Jacket, Future Islands, Bjork, Ryan Adams, Tame Impala and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. All of these will be uploaded. Partial sets are The Decemberists (50%), St. Vincent (40%) and The War On Drugs (85%). I'll wait on these partial sets to see if someone has the complete versions to share here on DIME. When I arrived at the Island on the first day I sadly discovered that my right microphone was dead. I immediately e-mailed our friend in Canada and ordered a new pair, but it looks like my packed summer concert schedule will be recorded with one mic. As a digital fix, I utilized the Pseudostereo effect in Audacity, which proved very useful in this situation. The sound quality is highly variable from set to set, depending on crowd noise, my location, the quality of the PA, etc. so check the samples. I have lots of video and will provide YouTube links with each upload. First up here is Florence. To be honest, this is probably my worst sounding recording from the festival. It sounds distant. Crowd noise is a major issue. This was a very popular choice on the first day, and you will hear pretty much nonstop chatter during the quiet moments, of which there are many. But she was great and seemed very happy to be able to run around on stage once again, having recovered from her broken foot accident at Coachella. She noticed someone with a sign that said "Hug?" in the middle of the packed crowd and offered one if the fan could get to the stage. So the fan crowd surfed (!) to the stage, got her hugs, and everyone was smiling. I have no video for this one.
