Notes: Festival Hall is an old lady (The Beatles played there in the 60s).
Venue is notorious for BAD SOUND and BAD VIEWS OF STAGE. Reverby, muddy, and a long
rectangular shape that just bounces sound around forever. If you buy a seat at this
venue, they are mainly on the sides facing across the side of the stage, you are basically
screwed you see nothing and hear little. Luckily from experience i had floor GA and positioned
myself right in front of the right stack and stage in a tight sweet spot for the bass.
Ironically for the venue i think this is one of my best recordings.
The drums have reverb added by the FOH engineer which this venue really didnt need help with i do
wish he had backed it off and let the big room do the work. The vocals and guitar are clean and
you can hear from the recording that there is little actual room reverb that was captured!
Band was delayed over 6 months from original gig date (tickets remained valid for reschedule)
and burst out on stage ON FIRE. A big Sat night crowd and rockin band made this a very special gig!

A couple of my own pics from the gig also included. I quite like the ole-skool lighter pic that was
held up, a nice reminder of how gigs used to be all round
