The 99th show of the Zoo TV tour took place on a chilly night in Sin City. JEMS brought big guns, Nakamichi shotguns that is, but due to some technical difficulties that escape me, we were only able to record the first 10 songs of the show that way. Happily TD was seated a few rows behind us with Sonic Studios, and he was kind enough to copy his analog masters to DAT for us after the show. The above is a composite of the two sources, and a good example of the difference between extremely directional mics and binaurals. Both sound good, but the increased crowd noise on the latter is obvious. TD did an amazing job a couple nights later in Anaheim, a show I missed due to food poisoning. I believe his recording was posted here recently.

Saw Peter Buck there, too.
